From the opening siren call of the tárogató to the flute and piano’s final evocation of a future full of hope, My Soul Upon My Lips brings together Canadian composer Jeffrey Ryan’s music for woodwinds, in premiere recordings performed by the outstanding artists whose talents and friendship inspired the music. Written between 2008 and 2019 in close collaboration with the individual performers, two larger works with piano frame eight short solo works that show the wide range of colours and effects that woodwind instruments offer. The solo works are intended for both professionals and advanced students, and are available for free download at www.jeffreyryan.com
